We're in the middle of our DIY kitchen job. We painted our cabs white and put in Kashmir White counters (which we love). Our backsplash is purchased, but we haven't installed it yet. It's a white marble (Thassos I think) hex. We will use a matching white grout. We seriously considered white subway. I think it would look great. We just decided on something a little different. Here's a pic I posted here a few weeks ago for opinions.

Question - the granite posted in the pics above looks just like the granite I have in my bathroom, which I thought was called River White. Is River White the same as Kashmir White?

I like the marble option, I feel the KM needs something a bit more warmer/creamier than the regular white subway tiles.
But I really wanted the more industrial straight-forward look of the subway tiles. Hopefully the counters get installed tonight, it will be easier to evaluate options.

juddgirl2: We looked at River White as well. It's VERY similar to Kashmir to my non-expert eye. Maybe a tiny bit less movement.
