| Hi all,
Finally time to install under cabinet lights. I searched the forum and found that most people recommend placing them at the front of the cabinets. I'll have a valance--or light rail and the lights are xenon bars. How close to the light rail should I go. I'm concerned a bit about the heat generation and have no sense of how hot the lights might get--I've never used xenon. Install is tomorrow, so if you have input, I'd greatly appreciate it! Also--has anyone used one of the newer LED lightbulbs in a Nelson bubble lamp? |

| We have xenon light bars mounted in the front, about 1 inch from the front edge. No problems with heat, but you should not store any heat sensitive stuff on the bottom shelf of the cabinets they are mounted on. We had to move our butter dish and some spices to the shelf above. |

| Thanks for the info, abfabamy. I only have dishes in those cabinets so I guess I'll now have a built-in plate warmer! Two birds, one stone. :) |
