Yeah, white would stick out. I hate black, tho. Maybe okay for you, tho. Stainless wouldn't look bad, either.

Stainless or black. I would probably go with black since the oven right next to it is black. White wouldn't look good IMHO.

I know that you said that a remodel is years down the road, so two questions:
1.) Do you plan on painting the cabinets or leaving them as is? If you are planning on painting your cabinets, then I would kind of figure out what color you plan for those and then decide accordingly about the appliance.
2.) If you re-do the kitchen in full or in part, will you change over all your appliances at that time or are you likely to retain the DW?

If you aren't painting, and the DW is by the ovens, I would stick with the black DW or do stainless steel.

If you are painting, then it depends on the color. If you're painting cabinets white, you may be better off going with a white DW or stainless.

Personally, I liked our black appliances when we had them. I liked them a lot more than white ones. But, it's really a personal preference.

When we moved into our current house, we knew that we would be doing a full gut and remodel of the kitchen within a few years so we got a DW that would go well with the new kitchen and we reused it in our remodel. The fridge that came with the house also died a bit before we were ready to do our remodel...and again, we got the fridge that we would want in the new kitchen since at that point, we were less than a year away from when our planned remodel was going to start. As it turned out, our plans got messed up and we were at least a full year later getting started than we planned...the appliances moved right over into the new kitchen. So, depending on how long it might be before you make significant changes, you may want to consider your future kitchen - more than 5 years out, I wouldn't be inclined to worry much about what you will put in the remodel, but less than that, think in terms of what you would like in the new kitchen and get that if you can.
