I'm interested too....

I have a magazine photo cut out in my kitchen binder that has this feature! I will try to photograph it tomorrow to attach here but the description says it is a "custom tilt-out" silverware drawer that took 'several evolutions' to design and create. It looks great. It was in the Home&Garden -March 2007-Baltimore section. They had 2 'bins' that tilt out -each with 4 compartments for cutlery.

Interesting idea, but at least as shown, it would take up a lot more of your cabinet space. I would also wonder how they open and close, stay in place and whether the flatware gets banged around a lot shifting in the bins. My kitchen is done, and mine is in drawers, but I didn't have the space to give up.

That said, imagine if a guest were looking for a spoon. Those bins are the last place I'd look...

However, I could see that idea adapted effectively for utensil storage in those awkward little 3" or 6" slivers of space by a range... Or maybe a pull-out with vertical storage containers?

I do like the idea for utensils. It would be easier to grab a handle that dig through a tiny drawer.

It looks like the photo posted may be on the shallower side of an island or pennisula. Maybe there wasn't room for drawers. I'd sure take the bins over wasted space and I do enjoy seeing the different and creative ideas. The hanging stemware rack over the oven was another clever idea.

Thank you Ravmd for posting the picture! That's very similar to what I saw except the other bin was a drawer. Its more than enough to show the KD! I love this forum!

I found them! Its Christoper Peacock's design (of course! LOL) and here's a picture. I'll try to have it replicated because Peacock is way out of my league!
