I think the crease out tile would look nice with your horizontal hardware. Imo it would subtly reinforce the directional flow in your kitchen.

We're planning on their Modern Basics. No idea of color. I have the samples sitting on my (old, rust colored laminate) counter now. We'll have a lot of similarities to your kitchen but haven't committed to exact stain of cabinets or granite type yet, but it'll be busy. I've been nervous about what to put above busy granite too. It's good to see how nice yours looks.

I think the different plane of the counters vs. backsplash is what makes me feel it would be okay. And I think it will play well with the horizontal hardware.

May I ask the size of your pulls? And did you go with one size or mix sizes?

This backsplash process has caused no end of angst. The perfect color for the granite, cabinets, and walls is Heath's soft white. However I was discouraged from using 12" hand-made tiles in a stacked design because of how they can bow. This sent me on a quest to find another 12" tile. I also explored the idea of just paint or wall paper (not a huge fan of glass tile but considered painted glass panel ) but could never find "the" color that worked as well as the soft white so now I am back at Heath looking at other options. I really want a longer tile so hope the 9" will not be as problematic as the 12".

The pulls are Hickory Greenwich-all the same size 10" except on a 12" tall cabinet I used the next size down

Is this the Heath Crease Out tile you are considering? If not, I will edit & remove this picture.

Those look to be alternating crease out/crease in.

@romy718--yes, those are the tiles. I think the alternating in/out would be a little busy so thought I would pick one-probably the crease out because of the style of the handles. What do you think?
