Knobs for doors, pulls for drawers - you'll be consistent throughout the kitchen. I don't think it matters that one side has drawers and the other side as doors - especially since the island prevents you from seeing everything at once.

I think it would be more weird if you put pulls on any of the doors on the sink side.

Honestly I think you can really mix it up with regards to hardware. I was going to do all pulls but the matching knobs were so pretty that I decided to use knobs for the cabinets above my peninsula. It doesn't look odd at all.

I agree with annkh, we did knobs on the doors and pulls on the drawers. But I also think that it's your kitchen, do what is comfortable for you!

Thanks for the input! Really stupid question, would the 9" pull-out be considered a drawer or a door? It looks like a door but functions like a drawer. :)
