The classic white to use with walnut is Formica's Designer White laminate. Not paint. But definitely NOT an off white.

I should have clarified that our cabinetmaker will be using a conversion varnish - not necessarily a paint, but they can match to any paint color we select. He uses valspar finishes; but like I said, we can match to another color. I am just trying to make sure the actual color isn't too harsh / too white with the walnut; but some of these colors are a bit yellow. I have been testing the Valspar Del Coronado Tequila against BM White Dove and BM Simply White. Simply White seems too stark against the walnut and I think White Dove might be better.
