I would definitely want some freezer space in the kitchen. I'm looking at the 24 inch LG refrigerator for our small kitchen remodel. I put it in a small kitchen in a previous house and was super happy with it. It's shorter than any other counter depth small refrigerator I have found which means some more cabinet storage above. It's also cheaper. It never came in true stainless though and it looks to me like the grey faux stainless has been discontinued? I'm not seeing it available on line anyway. So it is limited to white.

40" high counters! How tall were the owners? I thought mine were tall at 37", but the previous owners who built were tall, she was 5'10" and he was 6'4". We are short, but I like this height.

If I lived alone I could have the current fridge setup, but not with a family.
