I've never been told that before...LOL! Anyway we had a local cabinet maker build our cabinets and we got them from him. The sound of custom sounded expensive to me but it was actually very cost affective I will be posting pictures soon. We also had him build a vanity for our very small powder room. Again much cheaper that the Shiloh cabinets we looked at but still very well made.

marybeth1--how big is your island?

ttmomma,the island measures 54x24 with an 1 1/2 inch overhang all around. It's small but it's mighty in my modest sized kitchen. With a name like twinkletoes I bet you've got great legs too..sorry just keeping with the thread title.
