Copper sink...what color appliances??

Hello,
We are renovating our kitchen and have fallen in love with a hammered copper sink BUT now we don't know what to do about the appliances. To make matters worse, we will install two dishwashers so I'm thinking stainless will just clash and detract from the sink. Any ideas and pics would be very helpful! thank you!

We are renovating our kitchen this month and we bought a copper hammered farmhouse sink. I fell in love with the sink and had to have it! :) We are doing stainesll appliances. I was concerned about this as well but did find some pics on pinterest where they had done this and I thought it looked fine- the pic i found is an ok example ... not the best - you can get copper appliances if you really want to be matchy matchy ;) IMHO... They are both medals so in a since they are neutral. What we are doing is bringing in copper elements in our CT - it has copper flecks in it! :) good luck!

We have a hammered copper sink in our island. We have stainless for the main sink. The DW and fridge we covered with panels that match the cabinetry. We went with black for the ovens and the induction cooktop.

What color cabinets? Countertop? Floor?

If you are using white cabinets I'd use white appliances for sure.

I'm doing a copper sink, white cabinets and white appliances. I don't like stainless. Probably a green soapstone or green marble (serpentine) countertop.

Can't tell you how it will look yet because we are a week or two from demo still....

I would panel the dw and fridge if you can afford to do so, and go with a stainless range/oven, althought Jenn Air has copper colored appliances.

Pick the items in your remodel with the least amount of selection (appliances) first and work your way up (paint colors), that way your choices are always expanding. It can be impossible to go the other direction sometimes.

Thank you to everyone for the ideas! We haven't decided yet but I will for sure post an update once we do. Leaning toward panelling the DW because I think we are going to install two of them. (anyone know about doing that??)

I have a great deal of experience with paneling dishwashers. You must have a model that will accept a panel and, most often, you will have to purchase a kit to do so. That being said, I have quite a few photos showing copper sinks with stainless appliances. The two metals look great together. I have been asked that question almost weekly for 16 years. I put a video together showing my kitchen with two copper sinks and two stainless dishwashers, a 48" stainless refrigerator, three stainless ovens, etc. I hope this can help you some. Dino Rachiele

Lots of our clients match hammered copper hoods and sinks with stainless steel. I think that not having everything matching can be refreshing. Don't be afraid to mix and match to create your dream kitchen.
