Flexibility in location of stove installation

I am hooking up a 24" gas stove and would like to know how much slack from left to right is available in the flexible gas connector. In other words, if I use a flexible gas connector and fittings, how many inches to the right or left can I reposition the stove along the wall?

The location of the stove will imapct the base cabinet design to the left and right of the stove. If I can move the stove down so many inches to the right, I can install more cabinets to the left of the stove and thus increase my counter space. How many inches in either direction can I move the gas stove when hooking it up to the little gas main pipe sticking out at the base of the wall, almost near the floor?

Sorry, I don't have a gas stove, but I do have a direct hook-up gas BBQ. We have a 6' flex hose on it so it can be moved. It would be my guess that your stove can be moved either direction. But, I would suggest checking with your local gas company, as there may be codes in your area stating how far the hose can be from the fitting.
