I'm running these in my kitchen, they are great! I am not using a dimmer with them however. Do a search in the lighting forum, there is a lot of info there.

Scottdim - are those the LEDs from Environmental lights? If not what are they? They look great in the picture.

I'm worried the Environmental Lights LEDs may not be bright enough.

Sorry I wasnt clear enough, yes they are environmental lights. I can tell you they are definitely bright enough if you buy the proper coverage.

I also used LED premium neutral white bars from environmentalLights. I don't think there is a sku number.

However, the same lights (in 12" lengths) are available elsewhere - noralighting, ebay, ...

I also have dimmable LED's. I'm pretty sure mine made by Phillips. The invoice says "EW Profile Powercore". They come in different lengths. What I really like is that the color is adjusted to 2700K.

I heard about Environmental Lighting on this forum, so I emailed them with my desired lighting diagram and a couple of questions about their dimmable products. Never got an answer. Tried calling a couple of times, but got a recording and gave up.

So I now plan on using the Phillips EW Powercore product - more expensive, but less bulky and no questions that need answering :)

Dimming an LED under cabinet light can only be done with the low voltage type after the transformer with an in line led dimmer or a dimming transformer. There are regular 120v dimmable led bulbs, but not in a small bulb under cabinet light situation. If anybody has run into a dimmable LED 120v direct wire fixture please let me know, I need some too.

We had LED undercab lights installed and I LOVE THEM! Ours are strips that are hard wired and project soft white light. When choosing the lights, you need to check carefully the Lumens/foot... some were the right color but only half the brightness of a puck light!
