I don't know about your boys... but mine, let's say, had poor aim. Plus... they are messy. I would absolutely seal.

I say seal it for sure.
The travertine will get a nice low sheen from the sealer (& a touch darker)and it really does help with cleaning it, especially the grout. things bead up on it. I've found sanded grout stained so easily.

I cant think of a reason why you wouldn't seal it ... others?

Yes it will help protect it from stain, and will help from water leaking thru the tile.

ejbrymom, can you tell me what your matte subway tile is? And also, what is the tub mfr and model name? Does it seem roomy enough for showers? Thanks!
