Review of Jenn-air combination oven

We recently purchased a Jenn-air combination oven - JMW3430WB.

The bottom oven is a standard sized convection oven with two fans built into it. This part of the oven I really like. Everything I've baked/roasted has come out well.

The top oven is a microwave-convection oven and I'm really unhappy with it. I must say I'm really sorry that I purchased this oven. The micro-convection oven is a waste! There's no way to combine microwave and convection cooking UNLESS one chooses a pre-programmed selection. There's a heck of a lot of things that I'd like to speed cook that aren't pre-programmed. I would recommend purchasing an Advantium oven and combining it with the Jenn-air convection oven. That way you'll have an oven you can actually speed cook in. The microwave just as a microwave works well and the convection oven works well but that's not why I purchased a combination oven. I want to speed cook. I much preferred my GE Profile convection-microwave!

Thank you for posting a review. Although I think I'm going to go with a steam oven instead of a speed oven, I'm really happy to hear you're happy with the main convection oven, as I'm considering a single Jenn-air. Are the fans loud on the main oven?

No the fans don't bother me at all. If I just had the single large convection oven I would be quite happy. I'm just sorry they didn't tell me about the limitation of the supposed "speed cook" oven. I think you will be quite happy with just the one oven.

Everything I've cooked so far in the convection oven has been just perfect. I haven't tried cookies yet but I should be doing that soon and I'll let you know.

I'll probably never buy another combination like this. Wait until you need repairs on the microwave portion. $$$$ No more 'combos' for me!

Thanks so much for answering my question. I think it will be either the Bosch 500 series oven or the Jenn-air.
