Love that slab! I think it looks great. I would maybe try to find carrera with low movement if possible, but I don't think it is "too much" either way since jet mist reads pretty neutral once it's flat (vs. vertical in your picture)

My jet mist counters are going in on Thurs, and I'm also planning on carrera marble (subway tile) for the backsplash. Have you decided on polished or honed for the carrera? The tile place I went to recommended polished to go with the honed (leathered) counter. I haven't decided yet though.

I hope you will post pictures of your install!

I am going with honed because I know etching will take place even on a backsplash and I think it will be less noticeable with the honed finish.

It's certainly very easy to fall for various slabs but I wouldn't put different slabs on adjoining areas. Choosing can be tough!
