At the risk of being obvious, I'd consider a shell bs. But you'll get better suggestions, and more input if you POST AN IMAGE. To learn how, read the stickie at the top of the forum.

I'd also do shell tile! If you're a bamboo person I saw some bamboo tile recently - I think it was ann sacks? A wave pattern mosaic would be nice too. I was also looking at one by ann sacks that had a woven cane pattern that I've been thinking about myself.

Funny...when we bought the condo it had grasscloth! It was hard to keep clean -- but I could just buy a couple rolls and keep replacing for very little money, eh?

I almost forgot that I also have to do the wall below the breakfast bar on the DR side of the countertop. (Gets kicked.) This is *bam* right above the quite dominant tile floor.

EAM44 -- I'm not AT the condo now, and the new cabinet fronts and bisque appliances aren't in yet. Plus, I'm not computer or camera literate. Old dog; few new tricks. I did email you a source.
