Kitchen Sinks

Posted by lynne412 (My Page) on

I am looking at purchasing a black silgranit kitchen sink. I am not a fan of stainless steel and I have had 2 American Standard sinks and will never purchase another.
Has anyone purchased a silranit sink and if so, what are the pros and cons.
Thanks for any info!

RE: Kitchen Sinks

I have a black Silgranit and love it. I previously had cast iron and stainless steel. I'll never have anything other than Silgranit going forward. We got the double bowl with a built in drainer on the side.

Super big, deep bowls, very easy to keep clean, and the drainer is a great plus.

Do you have any problems with water spots or staining?

RE: Kitchen Sinks

I can't recommend the Silgranit sinks enough. I have a Super Single Bowl in Truffle and absolutely love it!! Installing a single bowl was the best decision. Blanco has recommendations if you do get water spots or staining. Very easy to rectify.

RE: Kitchen Sinks

I have one in cafe brown. I think its a diamond something? Either way I love it. It can get some water 'stains' (white spots) that come out with a wipe from a shammy type cloth. Never stains from things like spaghetti sauce.
