Tables for banquets

Any ideas for sources for kitchen banquette tables. I was thinking a compact trestle table to allow 4 people to sit. Something around 5 to 6ft long and somewhat narrower will work best.

Arrgh --> can't edit titles! While I hope to serve up nice food for family, it is unlikely we will be using the kitchen table to host wedding banquets or banquets of any other kind :)

Look to local rental yards.

RE: Tables for banquettes

I looked to a number of sources for a trestle table:
Separate Table and Base Online sellers (there are some lovely examples in wood but they are quite pricey).
Restaurant Supply houses (sturdy but not always stylish)
Furniture makers at big furniture stores (Canadel, etc)
Room and Board (has no customizable trestle tables) and similar online purveyers

I had trouble finding the right base with the right top, so I focused on getting a base and then getting a top.

I could get more specific if you have a style and budget in mind. I saw things all over the map.

In the end, I decided to splurge a bit and get a customized steel base and a Carrara marble top. It is being crafted right now, so we'll see how it turns out. .
