I have read about someone who lives in my town who has installed regular cabinets with glass fronts in front of windows, primarily because she needed storage and did not want to compromise on natural light. This kitchen was covered in a local design magazine. She used the cabs for storing glassware so light passed through everything.

Though not all glass, it can be a good compromise to achieve a similar look.

Speaking of all-glass cabs, I imagine you will need to work with a glass company regarding this.

I was thinking more along the lines of retail store display cabinets.

She has glass cabinets in her butler's pantry - just the front and back though. The cabinet boxes are wood

Thanks for all your responses. I think my description may have been misleading. I guess I didn't mean ALL glass. It still had a wood frame. And now that I think about it more, there probably was no "back" to the cabinet - the back that i was seeing was probably the window. Apologies for the confusion!

Biochem, this wasn't the exact kitchen, but VERY CLOSE! It incorporates the exact concept I was thinking of. Thank you so much - I will look into more of Steve Giannetti's work.
