the breakfast bar contains the microwave, toaster oven and two coffee makers (only one shown here).

the armoire houses my stand mixer, blender, food processor, TV and (sometimes) the slow cooker.

not exactly "garages" or DIY (i wish!). i thought about what i needed space for and decided to take the garage theory to the next level. although they're open most of the time, i like to shut the doors after everyone has left for the day, and when i'm expecting guests.

That is beautiful! Do you have a sink nearby to your other coffee maker, or is it a plumbed machine?

Almost like a closet! Do you find you keep the doors open and only close them for guests or close them most of the time? I'll be following this as I'm thinking of appliance garage in my future kitchen-also, if people could show it open and closed and what all fits in it and if you have power inside or near the garage?

Here's the interior of ours. It's housed in a tall cabinet and the doors are pocket doors. It is fully concealed as an appliance garage since you can't see the granite when the cabinet is closed. We used a pull forward "shelf" for ours making it easier to use the blender and coffee maker (really, "tea maker") since those go under the 1/2 deep shelves. The toaster goes in here also.

The outside dimensions of the cabinet are 36", interior usable space is somewhere around 30" because of the pocket doors.

When I'm home all day and drinking tea through the day, I keep the cabinet open. But, in general it is closed.

You can see the electrical outlets in there. If I had it to do over again, I would put a duplex outlet on the left and another one on the right instead of having the outlets side by side. Also, the rollout has a slight area in the back where it doesn't fully fill the cabinet which allows the cords to rest back there a little bit.

We do not have water running into it - I just take the coffee pot over to the sink to fill it.

Here's the exterior when it's closed. The appliance garage is directly in the middle of our talls.

I have my MW in a popup pocket door. I'll admit that it is not down all the time, however. I'm not certain if I'd like to have something like this that slide out, for something used as often as a coffee maker.
