I've seen a lot of contact paper pulled up after years on the cupboard shelves. The only "damage" I've seen is sticky paper that doesn't really come up very well.

I use a cushy cupboard lookalike from Lowes. It does not stick to the shelf.

What is yours called? I have not seen Cushy Cupboards, so I wouldn't know what to look for.

I'm trying to find my extra roll of liner. I attached a link to a photo of cushy cupboard. Mine looks like it but maybe not as good. Its a regular product at our lowes. It has a little "cush" to it but not much. You can even put it in the washer but I haven't tried that.
