Properly designed frameless cabinets should have no problems with out a pole. I have a super susan in a frameless cabinet. It posed no problems for the cabinet makers or granite installer. It is wonderful storage space, especially since I picked up the idea here on GW of storing things to the sides and even under the susans.

Make them take out that pole and supply shelves with susans attached. I suppose the cabinet makers might be skimping on the sides and back, but you should get what you ordered.

Storage is so much better with a super susan.

IMHO, lame excuse for a misorder. I think that, if anything, frameless would be better at supporting a super susan, since all of the walls (which will bear the weight of the shelves) are stout.

Ditto. I put a super susan in my corner Ikea cabinet, which is frameless (the installers had to make a shelf for it). It was really not expensive at all, I think about the same price or maybe just a little more than Ikea's version with the pole.

I would think you could go ahead and template even without the right susan, yes? You just want to get it installed before the countertops go in.

You MUST have the susan installed before the granite goes down. There is not enough room in the door to get the shelves through after the top is installed. You can adjust them (move them up and down) afterwards, although they are heavy and it is not easy.

It is being replaced. The granite is being templated first with the other in place. The replacement has already been ordered. Whew! Thanks guys!!
