Where can I find those pendants that look like one big shade?

The only ones I've seen are from restoration hw. The best way I can explain it is a large shade hanging from a cord. Im sure there is a better way to describe, but I'm at a loss.

Anyway, they seem pretty common, but the only one I've seen is RH.

I'd also love some recommendations for lighting websites.

I ordered my drum shade from smartbargains.com. I'm planning to cover the shade with a different material, but it was a much better price than the RH drum pendants. You should also check out ebay. I've seen them on there. I have ordered several light fixtures from bellacor, and have always had a really good experience. I've also ordered from lightinguniverse with no problems. Also check cb2.com, they has some reasonably priced light fixtures!

What would I do w/o garden web? I'd probably spend my life searching the web, to no avail.

I did just check out bellacor. It has a really good search feature.

another site to consider: lightingcatalogue.com We got a few lights from them and they are wonderful (and got them fast!). If you do an online chat session with a salesperson and ask them for a discount, they will give you a code to use with your online purchase (I got 15% off that way!).

Also had very good experiences with lampsplus and Lowes.

smilingjudy... thanks for posting such awesome links. I just went through 2modern's page. WHOA... gorgeous different stuff. I'd better start saving my pennies.... BIG TIME! Do people really spend 2K and over on a single hanging fixture? They had a ton of stuff that appealed to me.

Ikea also has drum shade pendants, if you are looking for something budget-friendly.

I have also been looking for drum shade pendants-Shades of Light has an excellent selection and GREAT prices. (I love how GWers are so adept at hunting stuff down online--so wonderful, isn't it?!)
