A little OT: Plan your own Lamp

Hi all!

I was browsing furniture blogs and came across this store in Chicago. They have this interactive thing that lets you build your own lamp!

There are so many lighting questions here, albeit usually about something that hangs, that I thought you might enjoy it.

Here is a link that might be useful: The White Attic (or something like that)

RE: A little OT: Plan your own Lamp

This post made me think of my custom lamp experience.

It's a little hard to see from this photo, but I went to Portugal a number of years ago and fell in love with the pottery of Coimbra.

Fast forward a year or so after the trip and I saw this lamp base in TJMaxx. It looked like a funy candlestick that would never fit a candle. Since I had seen them in Portugal, I knew exactly what it was...so I waited...and waited until the price went down. Then I snapped it up and had it wired. It's my favorite lamp now!
