I'd tell them it should be higher. Centered, like a picture. If you are just fixing to sell, though, it might not be worth it. If they remove it to redo it, will it damage the cabinet? Will they absorb the extra cost of labor?

It looks fine. A buyer will not notice it, except that it "matches" the look. I'd leave well enough alone.

I wouldn't leave it and I think it looks off. I think in the general population there will be those that don't notice and those that notice something looks off.

As a buyer it would for me make it on the list of having to do something about and a buyer always over estimates the cost of fixing something so it will be what they deduct from your price as to what they think it is worth.

I think it needs to come up higher too, to the height of the top drawer. Weird that they stopped it where they did.

Thanks everyone. They are going to re-do it. No extra cost and will repair/repaint whatever damage occurs by ripping it out. It just doesn't look right and even though the buyer may not notice- it will drive me crazy in the meantime.

Good move. It looks odd so would leave a bad DIY impression of your house.
