Need help & ideas with table for kitchen nook!

Posted by murdahl (My Page) on

We have a little kitchen nook (about 78in wide x 60 inches long). The space is a bit tight for regular table and chairs so we were planning to build bench seating from kitchen cabs to gain storage, but struggling to find an inexpensive table to fit the space.
Any thoughts?
I wondered about finding a table base and getting some kind of top (Ike's butcher block)?

Thanks in advance!

you could do something with the 78 in dimension/but the 60 in dimension is really limiting. Without knowing more,I'd be inclined to take a wall and attach an 18-22 in deep counter and get some comfortable/attractive stools. You would have the space on unused wall for storage needs /depending on windows [or not] and type of storage you feel you need.
