You can get Daltile Keystone Shapes in 1x2 brick bond much less expensively than that. Their colors are also limited in that shape

Also Ann Sacks Savoy has 7/8 x 1-7/8 brick bond and 2x4 brick bond in very limited colors "starting under" $14 a square foot. I am not sure how much these particular mosaics are but they are not going to be anything close to $50.

Sonoma has it in their stellar line.

Thanks for the replies. Unfortunately I've already come across these 3 options. The Sonoma Stellar was quoted at $75/sf for 1x2 mesh mounted. Ann Sacks Savoy is exactly what our friends have that started us on this hunt, but in 1x2 it only comes in 3 colors that won't work and their in house line of 1x2 was $100/sf. I was hoping for something a little more hand-made looking than the Daltile, but for the price different I guess I can live with it.
