Do I want to line up the upper cabinet edge with the lower cabinet edge or with the edge of the counter overhang? I've been reading through the threads with people wondering what to do with their backsplash and already installed cabinets. My upper cabinets are not installed yet, so I'm wondering what would be the best solution? I really don't like it when the backsplash extends past the cabinets... on the other hand, our cabinets are so close to the edge of the wall that it might look weird to have this little area that isn't tiled (if we line up with the upper cabinets).

I assumed we would line up the upper cabinets with the lower cabinets. I prefer things to line up ;) But maybe I should line them up with the counter edge to avoid the "which to line up with" backsplash question.
