Finish bad areas on kitchen cabinets

My kitchen cabinets are only 3 years old; but they need help in some areas. I make the mistake of buying Chinese cabinets and am getting no help from the installer or manufacturer. I'm hoping someone here can give me some help
the strip near the stove has bubbled and worn down to the wood in places. Some of the drawer tops have worn down; and the stain is shrinking there and in other areas.
I have tried using a stain pen - won't cover. I would greatly appreciate any direction.

Have it tested for lead paint, and if it passes, then sand them down and repaint them. Or hire a pro to do it. Won't be cheap to hire done though. Probably will cost more than you paid for the cabinets. So, if you can't DIY, you might want to save your money and just replace them down the road.
