Granite and cabinet color matching help

Posted by samzhang (My Page) on

I am remodeling my kitchen and have picked natural american cherry for my cabinets (color similar as the attached picture). I would like to have granite as countertop. Will the Kashmir Gold granite go well with the cherry cabinets?
Thanks in advance for your advice!

I am not a fan of this combo. On my monitor, the cabinets have an orange look and the granite it is paired with highlights it even more.

Me neither. I have natural cherry and red, gold and green in my DR/LR, and that red/gold combination is even too warm (and dated) for me.

Did you look at Kashmir white? I think it looks very nice with this color cabinet but is not as gold. White with flecks of burgundy, tan, etc.

My Kashmir Gold is a very different color than in the photo, but it is definitely the Gold and not the White. Your best bet is to take a door sample with you to the granite yards and look at the combination together.

Thanks everyone for your input! To clarify, the picture in my original post is what I found in the internet and I only want to showcase the color of the cherry cabinet since mine will be of similar color. I have no idea of the granite in that picture and I don't believe it is Kashmir Gold. The Kashmir Gold I've looked at the granite yard looks similar to the following link.

Here is a link that might be useful: Kashmir Gold

I just checked with the granite yard and about Kashmir White and they told me they have no more in stock because the quarries have been closed as of now. Wonder what could be its replacement in the light-color category. Thanks.
