I'm replacing the tiny cove molding on my cabinets with crown. I'm down to the last cabinet and am stumped! It's the oven cabinet, which butts to a beam, then has another cabinet on the back (facing the opposite room), which sits just below the beam. The ceiling in the kitchen is dropped about 6" lower than the ceiling in the living room. The cove molding that was there just ended at the beam, then started anew at the lower cabinet height (and not against the ceiling) in the other room. It looked odd, and will look even more odd with the larger crown, but I can't figure out how I should finish it.
