Cabinet Knob Help

We are looking for knobs a style like this

We need about 40 knobs.

The prices seem to vary any where from $1.50 to $5.00 or more for similar styles.

Like this one is 1/2 the price of the one I posted above

What makes a good quality knob? How can I tell which are good and which are garbage when ordering online?

We'd like to find something of good quality at a decent value.

Any suggestions on brand/store/style (I *think* we are settled on knobs over pulls)?

I'm no cabinet knob expert but I went to this site to see what they had and can tell you they are selling knobs for more than I paid for the exact knobs on e-bay. You might want to search out some e-bay stores too.

I got my ORB shaker bin pulls and 1 1/2 ORB knobs from here and they are wonderful. I haven't put them up yet, so I can't speak to how they will hold up, but they are hefty and the finish looks great.

The price was good and they came quickly. My kitchen cabinet maker said even they couldn't match the price.

Does anyone have any experience with these Amerock knobs? Are they good quality?

I found them a bit cheaper here:

If they aren't that good, is there another mfg I should be looking at?

Amerock knobs are what I'd call "common market" knobs. They're sold at the Big Box stores and all over the place. Definitely not high-end but they're good, basic knobs that should serve well.

Ok. I just may order those then, but what brands might be a little step up from Amerock in quality? What should I look for?

I bought the Inspirations finger pull & Leaf 3" pull from a different company over 5 years ago and they are still in perfect condition. I paid a lot more than this price, too.

Thanks for posting that site (Cabinet Hardware) because I was thinking about buying the same pulls for the new house. I still like them that much.

I was a little hesitant ordering from Cabinet Hardware Designs just because their price seemed SO good compared to what I was finding elsewhere, but thought what the heck I can return them if I hate them.

I was so pleasantly surprised when they arrived though because they were even nicer than some I had seen elsewhere for twice the price and they were just as heavy and nicely finished too. My husband was thrilled that I got the look I wanted and he got the price he wanted to pay!

If anyone wants me to post a picture of the finish I can, but it was true to what was represented on their website. I will eventually be posting finished pictures of the kitchen but that's a ways off, it won't be done until mid April.
