We are having a granite bar made. It is 7 ft long. We have attached a 2 x 2 support around the inside wall. Planing on useing 2 - 9 inch on the top of corbels as well as a newel support in the middle of granite. The deepest depth of the granite bar is 36 inches. Is this enough support ? If not what would you suggest ? Thank you

Steel. And good sized steel for a 36" span.

If I understand your layout: 84" long by 36" deep with support on 3 sides at the wall plus corbels? If this is correct you could easily get by with 2 corbels about 26" deep spaced equidistant from the ends assuming 3CM material. A good fabricator will rod the stone (steel rods glued into slots cut into the underside of the stone) on the cantilevered portion of the stone (the parts that sticks out past the corbels) if the stone has fissures.
