Crazy idea - copper subway

OK - we are in the middle of our remodel and struggling with the backsplash

I found a warm color in BM AF355 http://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-color/etruscan (sorry for not bringing across) which is a copper color and looks different in real life vs the website)

Then I started to think - if I could find a paint that matches the counter - what about using a copper subway tile and changing the paint color.

Has anyone done this?

Might be too blendy but I would have to see it. Forgot you have similar colors to me! It is tough to pick a splash!

Copper is too close to the cabinet color and would blend them right into the counter. I think your best bet would be something in a smoky taupe. You need something with a cooler tone to work in the silver metal tones that you have.

I think copper subways are great, but not with the metal finishes you already have. You could do ss ones if you have ss on your appliances.

If you google metal mosaic tiles, a bunch of online vendors will pop up. Search around, and you'll find a few who sell subway metal tiles in a gold aluminum...it isn't called that, but you will see the typical aluminum silver tiles, copper, and rose copper. And then you'll see a subway tile that is a soft gold - not as dark as copper - but labeled stainless steel. It might give you the shine and bright pick-me-up that you (might be?) seeking?

All of them have allowed me to purchase samples. It's addicting!

Thinking of a slate tile backsplash with your kitchen- now that my choice is made I need to use those creative thoughts elsewhere;)
