Agreed! I bought thousands of dollars worth of plumbing and lighting from lightingdirect and faucetdirect (same parent company) for the house we just built. Their customer service is the best I've experienced with an online vendor. If you get a membership ($50), you can get even better pricing an what's advertised, and they price match.

I've had to return items/get replacements, and they were a pleasure to deal with every time.

Have to go for a hattrick here. I've ordered our lights through lightingdirect for our remo and couldn't be happier. I've also used faucetdirect with great success and look forward to doing our master bath via them. I've also found that if you call in your order, they give you much better pricing - last light alone I saved $50 and they were already the lowest on the web.

Their online chat function for customer service is really nice, too. Even though I've had no problems with them, I like having a "paper trail" of discussions. When you're down with the chat, they will email you a transcript of the discussion.

LightingDirect is great - I bought my kitchen and bathroom fixtures from them. Nice selection, *nice* search engine, and good customer service.

I also recommend csnlighting.com. I bought a bathroom fixture from them that turned out to be defective - they immediately shipped me another one. Which was also defective. No problem - they refunded my money and sent Fedex (eventually) to pick up both defective fixtures. Nice folks.
