One grout tip- use a microfiber towel instead of a sponge, it cleans the slate so much better!!

Also, be sure you seal it first.

Ooooh, I love it. I'm getting similar-looking cabinents and had been looking at this tile for my backsplash. Thanks so much for the picture! I hope you post another after it's grouted and sealed.

Here it is so far-it was sealed/enhanced, and then grouted today. It is VERY dirty/cloudy and drying. Before they grouted today (but after enhancing) the tiles really SHINED!! They will clean it and enhance/seal it one last time on Monday.

When it its all done is it suppose shine or will it be more matte? Did the enhancer make the tile darker?

Wow! I really really like that. Simple, but interesting. Looks great with your cabinets, counters, and appliances. Ties everything together. Great choice!

Hi Doc... I have Ubabuba, similar cabinets and stainless appliances. I went with the 1 inch version of the Lowes mosaic slate... Now I cant decide which shade of grout... I am afraid the "Natural Grey" might have too much green in it and get lost next to the Ubatuba... What brand Pearl gray grout did you use? In the pictures it seems to blend well... Any suggestions?
