Towel Pig Substitute?

The "Where is your dishtowel" post reminded me that I found some interesting possible substitutes for the ever allusive towel pig/pug. :-) I didn't want to hijack that post so I'm starting a new one.

We spend every Thanksgiving at Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, CA. While walking around the park last November I found a number of very cool pigs that would work great as a Towel Pig. They ran about $22, came in several colors/designs and were about the right size. I was tempted to buy one for myself.

Here are a couple photos I snapped in one of the shops.

Since I had snapped a pic of the price and ID tag I was able to do an eBay search and found some for sale but it appears you have to buy a set of three. More sales though may come up in the future. Set an alert to let you know when more appear for sale or auction.

Jodi, the spotted guy on the far right of the first photo would appear to be THE towel pig, at least in head stance, no?

Oh yes, I'm fully aware what the original looked like and know of its ultimate demise as I've done a lot of Internet searches over the years trying to find another just like it.

But I thought the ones I found at Knott's Berry Farm to be interesting in the fact that they came in many designer looks.

The original pig will always set the standard, I just thought the ones I found might fit the bill for someone.

I am weird that way.

My husband bought me a towel pig years ago when said pig first took GW by storm. At least he thought it was the same pig- my pig is actually iron & winged, but has the same sweet expression.

Look who's at Sears, magnify the one on the lower right.

I think it is very sweet that towel pig is still so beloved.

I could see the Raz pigs in an OTK.
