Blanco Antico is a gorgeous, but busy granite. IMO, your hunch is correct and you should look for a quieter tile for your backsplash. Let that lovely granite be the star!

i adore bianco antico, it is a show stopper! if you do a simple neutral tile like maybe a classic white subway, it will be the focus. if you pair something patterned, they will fight each other.

Bianco Antica usually has more of a white undertone than a cream. Your slab may be different. Since it's so busy I would pick something that adds texture, but is not busy. Do you like simple subways? Crackle?
