We are planning on putting in black walnut wood look tile throughout our first floor. I plan on having white perimeter cabinets and am thinking we are going to stain the island to contrast. My question is, do I match the stain to the flooring or do I pick a few shades lighter or darker? Any thoughts on a stain that might look good with this combo? The granite we choose is a light white, grey, black, and taupe called "snowflakes". I also am kicking around the idea of a grey stained island but the husband isn't so sure. Any thoughts appreciated.
