IMHO, I don't care for them because they can't be cleaned as well as a regular cutting board that you can wash in the sink or the dishwasher. We had one in our kitchen when I was a child and, I recall, it only got wiped down with the regular sponge.

Good point, I remember we would get annoyed whenever someone would wipe down the cutting boards with a sponge or paper towel. It's not the same as properly washing them in the sink of dishwasher. I think I'll skip the pullouts and go with regular ones.
