Varied width "panes" of bead-board on cabinet doors

My carpenter can make the bead-board insert to cabinet door any width or a variety of widths. Can you show me an irregular width of bead board or envision if you think this will give a nice custom country flair or too disconcerting to the eye that is used to seeing it evenly spaced. What spacing doesn't look busy? Thx

Samples from him would be best. I'm not seeing different panel sizes as attractive at all.

it could be fun but I think your space would have to be right for it - farm house, beach cottage, etc. I'd be worried about any uppers and lowers not lining up right.
