Mixing granite and quartz

Posted by coffeegirl69 (My Page) on

We recently purchased a home that has black granite countertops and white cabinets with an island of black base and quartz (a light brown speckled). The quartz island is in the center of the kitchen and surrounded by the white/black with counters around the walls and a second island that separates the kitchen from the eating area.

We are looking at tables and would like to consider a solid surface instead of wood (we have 4 children). Would this be too much? Should we match one of the tops already used? If so, which one? I will try to post a picture in case my description is hard to follow.

Thanks for any input

RE: Mixing granite and quartz

There is no right or wrong. whatever you like is ok. note stone or quartz tops will be relatively heavy.
