It gets lots of compliments for sure. It's a little deep for my comfort level, as I'm tall, so I'd definitely recommend purchasing the grid for it. It's "reversible" with a flat and a curved side. We used the flat side as it went better with the transitional aesthetic.

Is that the Blanco Cerrana? I've been considering that one. Have you gotten around to using it?

Does anyone think or worry about the thickness of the blanco cerano it weighs 91 lbs & most are well over 150 lbs. I am on the verge of ordering the blanco & the price is awesome compared to most farmhouse fireclay sinks & it comes in 33". I just wonder if it is to thin. I appreciate your thoughts.

just had my 33" Blanco sink installed this week and love the size (bigger than my old 29" sink but not cavernous like a 36" would have been) -- i also got the grid which i think is a good idea for protection as well as raising the base slightly if you are tall. I bought it at a great price and spoke to a couple different sales reps -- both seemed to think it is fine quality..there def is a snob factor if you buy a sink with a higher profile brand for those who want to spend more for it. Blanco isn't hollow like some cheaper fireclay sinks. Recent consumer reports gave fireclay overall good ratings for durability but almost no sink fared well if you drop a heavy object on it from a foot above...fingers crossed cause i lurrrrv it!

j stallone did you order the flange strainer or do you think i need one, I'm confused about the strainer thing, my plumber said the garbage disposal will have flange with it but i see people ordering the strainer along with sink

Good luck barbcamp12! I feel your pain ordering sight unseen and not only learning about details I have never thought of- but then needing to create an opinion on them!! (In middle of kitchen Reno- can u tell?:)btw- the charming herringbone pattern that U see over stoves all over houzz that are made of 2x6 tiles are akin to finding the holy grail, I have discovered!

Anyhoo- I ordered the sink over a month ago and can't remember why I ordered the strainer (Is that what u are referring to?) but I did and it works great. I didn't consult with my plumber so I just followed sales rep advice. And when plumber installed this week there were no hiccups or questions or missing parts, etc.
