Quartzite

I exhaustively read all the threads on here about quartzite and absolutely loved the white quartzites I saw at the stone yard particularly white macabus. I brought home a few samples along with various caesarstones and left olive oil and blueberries overnight on them. Unfortunately, the oil left a huge mark on the quartzite but with the caesarstone everything wiped right off. As much as I wanted the quartzite I am very worried about maintenance of counters with 2 kids!

Was the quartzite you brought home from the stone yard sealed? I have Madre Perla quartzite, oil(or anything else) would not seal it.

Right - it's a matter of sealer, so I would not write off quartzite if your test was on an unsealed sample. You are smart to test them though, and I agree, they are gorgeous!
