We ordered extras of the handles, the hidden handles, cherry switchplates--lots of stuff! Better to have it and not need it than vice-versa we felt.

I don't know if your cabs have the little silicone buttons on the inside corners of your doors or along the inside drawer edges, but those would be a good idea as well. On some of the doors/drawers, the adhesive loosens up and the buttons slide around or end up falling off completely. When that happens, I replace it with a fresh one.

Yes I kept some extra knobs, and ended up using a couple (so far) on other furniture elsewhere in the house. (e.g., a small cabinet in my office)

I also kept extra tiles (bathrooms, mudroom, backsplash) in case I ever need to replace one. I used a few square tiles (tumbled travertine) from part of my backsplash to make coasters - I just stuck some squares of that felt stuff that you put on the bottom of chair legs so they don't scratch the floor onto the backs of the tiles. Voila: trivets or coasters that match my backsplash.

I have extra cabinet hardware-even kept the original brass hardware which DH is going to clean up. Have extra hardwood from recent new flooring in LR, DR, and hallway. Have extra bathroom tiles and will have extra tiles from the kitchen floor and extras from the 2 different backsplashes I'll be doing.

In all the years I've accumulated quite a bit of "extras" and lucky to have the room to store it all in. I'm paranoid-know that the one time I don't have "extra" of something is the one time I'll need it!!

Those little bumper things for the cabinet doors make great feet for home made trivets. I bought some marble floor tile and put those bumpers on them. Makes a very nice trivet beside the stove. And big enough for the roaster. Total cost was $1.98 for tile, under $2 for a package of bumpers. I think there were a dozen bumpers in the package.
