I looked at new hinges to work with some new-old-stock hinges we had and found that anything new looked cheap next to the originals.

I would do something a little different and put vintage glass knobs on the cabinet doors. I collected all of my vintage glass knobs and pulls off eBay. There are some differences I the three lots I had to buy, but that's part of the charm.

Those are beautiful pulls. I'd do something very simple not to distract from these, but keeping it the same material. A simple little knob maybe? Or, possibly a latch. Both of the websites mentioned above have them that would go w/ your pulls, but I'm sure there are plenty of other sites out there that have them as well. Here are 2 from the above posts:

I'm kind of leaning towards a square knob, simply because the pulls are very square. Of course, then a round knob would break it up a little.

The cabinets will be white (I know, I know), so a glass knob might get lost. The finish I do on the pulls will be pretty close to what's in the picture- an aged cast iron look. Some of mine are painted, so once I strip them, I'll have to refinish. To make them match, I'll have to do ALL of them, so whatever knobs I get can just go through the same process. I learned a technique from a Czech blacksmith for iron to give it that patina.
