I highly recommend:

ebbcast corp.
Vance Ebbecke/Mike Castro
Read the reviews(excellent) and see photos on Houzz.
ebbcast handles all types of renovations: kitchen, bath etc.
They are CraftArt wood counter and Soapstone certified dealers.

At first I thought this might be spam, but I know EATREALFOOD is a long time poster, so I'll add to his recommendation.

I met with Vance last year and received a competitive estimate for Green Mountain soapstone (much better price than popular M.Tex supplier in NJ). I believe he told me he used to work at Green Mountain in Vermont. He came to my home, showed me samples and provided an estimate in a timely manner. Nice guy.

dilly--to avoid this looking like spam I should have mentioned that I purchased my SS counter from him and just ordered windowsills also. It was late and I wasn't thinking. The price for the SS and delivery was MUCH better than what M.Tex. quoted me. In addition M. Tex. wanted to charge me additional for being in a walk up (2nd floor but not a high or wide landing) travel, and for an additional worker.
When I called Green Mountain SS to check Vance's references they told me he used to be in charge of their fabrication dept.
