I was given what appeared to be a new light emperador double bowl vanity. When I first looked at the piece it seemed fine. When I got it home I noticed a very slight crease in the top. Maybe a crease is not the best word. Upon further examination it appeared to be a crack. It followed the grain and went from on side of the slab to the other and even to the beveled edge. It also appeared to be on the unfinished side. There is also second one from the rear edge of the vanity to the bowl. This countertop is still in the original shipping crate. Is there any hope to salvage this beautiful vanity?

It was given to you or do you have someone you can call and let them know of the defect? If not, I'd suggest a stone person, anyway, because there's a great possibility it can be mended or slowed down with an epoxy. The good news is it follows the grain. Good luck!

Hey thanks the for suggestion. I am going Saturday to see about a countertops for another surface, I will ask then. I have posted another photo of it. I'd like posted a couple but I'm not sure if I can. The crack runs between the tape

Wow. That is so minor -- of course, that luckily might be just how it looks! I can't see where that can't be epoxied or something! Good luck.
