Hello, This is my second post on GW but I have been reading and soaking it all in for quite a few months. I have decided to place my order for our cabinets and I have decided to go with Jim Bishop. I thought everything was ready to go but I have just realized that the hood, although I like the style, only comes in a 19 inch depth. The choices for their hoods are very limited. I really want a depth that is closer to 22-24. So now I am back to the drawing board. It seems I must get a custom hood made. What do people normally do in this situation. Can anyone provide me advice. Do you order your cabinets from one company and then the hood from a separate company. Has anyone run into this problem before? Many thanks in advance.

You can modify an above fridge cabinet the house the deeper insert. And then add some piers and a shelf to it. With the right cabinet line and a creative designer that is.

See if they will finish a hood you supply. If so try Stanici Hoods Will add leas time to your job.
