| If I use Ikea, can I make a peninsula that has on it a sink and dishwasher? The floor is a concrete slab. I know that the legs would have to be bolted to the floor. I am wondering if it would all be strong enough to hold up granite. The peninsula is 6.5 feet long. |

| If the plumbing is there in the concrete where you need it for the peninsula, sure you can do a peninsula with Ikea or any other cabinet line. But if the plumbing has to be moved, then you've just lost and $$ advantage that Ikea gives you in your budget planning. And most often, people do a pony wall to contain the plumbing pipes and to give the cabinets something to attach to. You can still skin the pony wall with a cabinet skin and door panels if you want to dress it up. |
